The weird thing about this post is that on my dash, both images show up as just the “This image has been removed for violating community guidelines” image, except scaled weirdly so you can’t really read it. But I can still click on the pictures to see the original images that supposedly were removed. And also it’s not clear to me why they would’ve been removed in the first place. So this represents multiple, separate failures on the part of the tumblr team, probably mistakes made by different people at different times, all coming together in a single unusable post. This is the beauty of the tumblr ecosystem, where stupid bugs have dumber bugs within their code to bite ‘em, and the dumber bugs have dumber still, and so ad infinitem.
For me, only the first image shows up as distorted “community guidelines violation” and clicking on it just undistorts it.
on mobile none of them are blocked at all???
On tumblr desktop dash, they both show up fine for me.
on mobile this shows up as either one 4-panel or 2 2-panel comics making some inscrutable joke about gender
and then a thread beneath that’s somewhere between Discourse and reported technical issues
so far so [tumblr]
