Had a dream I was gaming so hard during a run of Deltarune that I somehow unlocked all the unreleased chapters even the ones that haven’t been made yet and I pulverized through every single enemy just by running into them really fast, making them violently explode into scattered pixels with my sheer force. I was having fun until suddenly the screen went white and a very visibly upset Mario appeared (because I was playing on the switch) and he was sitting on a folding chair with his hands clasped together and he asked me “what the fuck is a-wrong with you”. immediately woke up
“this meeting could have been an email” but instead it’s “this video tutorial could have been a post with less than a hundred words”
In fairness there really were a lot of vidya walkthrough sections that turned out to be a lot better as 2 photos or 15 seconds of video than they had been as 3 paragraphs on GameFAQs
i definitely think minecraft won’t be the game for everyone in the end and that’s just how things are no problem but i do think *some* people who don’t get the hype of it just need to play with their friends and build a house with them. its also for doing things like this.
To people younger than mid-30s: I really cannot emphasize enough that Grand Theft Auto: Vice City played a huge shaping effect on later ‘80s retro and those weird Scottish Ameriboos at Rockstar left the legacy that they have now set some of the actual America’s actual sense of cultural history
