The last few times I nuked and remade my account I did not find myself swiping left on such a high proportion of Tinder.
It’s not that people are unattractive, there were always uggos you swiped left on, it’s that once they cleared that hurdle (and were not actually some kind of sex worker or scam) everyone was selected enough as the right kind of person that like, if you could picture having sex with their body you could certainly stand to get a drink with them
I mean, maybe it’s that I’m more successful with the ladies now that some subconscious part of me is more picky and less desperate. But I really get the sense that it used to be a cohort I would be right-swiping more of today.
>when you open Tinder and among the 30 or so in-demand users they show you first after you’ve been gone a while to renew its appeal it is one total uggo and you know that means she swiped on you and it’s seeing if you’d like to reciprocate
Always flattering when Tinder suddenly starts showing you much hotter users because it means someone hot swiped on you and the matchmaking algorithm upranked you
I am never sure what to think about the Tinder profiles that are like 25-35 year old petite Chinese women in slightly-noticeably-tight but otherwise normie clothes and an “About Me” section that kinda sounds like a travel brochure about love, I could totally see that as scam bait but FOB girls are kinda like that (even when they’re not baiting their own scams)
Like, is this
picture by-numbers bait that a scammer sourced from ::waves hands:: humanity at large, or is it merely textbook bait from a human working across culture and language barriers who goes to the gym sometimes to make herself better textbook bait?

Been getting back into Tinder, which I had stopped a few months into the pandemictide when I realized I was a little too disinhibited automatic-writing nuts to be on the strangers-to-proposition app
Even after I get past the early wad of you-opened-after-a-hiatus-let’s-look-rewarding profiles I’m still getting served hot ones, so I guess girls are swiping on me (got a few matches, saw what it looks like to be superliked for the first time). Or it’s that im getting matches to maintain conversations. Of course the new personality is good at this.
I mean what it really is is I can look at my matches’ profiles, get a sense of them, and intuitively compose suitable openings that in no way directly relate to any of the specific content in the profile

Lot of girls on Tinder sporting the “mental health awareness” tag. A little weird, cause if a hookup makes you aware of mental health that’s usually not good
Explained the concept of “the DSM” to a girl who honestly should’ve been wearing a Gir shirt over those tits today, friends
