Starting to appreciate Preacher not even for anything it was showily trying to say, but for modeling “possessed by the Holy Spirit” as like having a radically OP Charisma score
The Walking Dead - the comic book, at least - is a lot like Preacher in that while you might learn more about the characters as time goes on, they don’t actually develop as people so much as accumulate mutilations.
