Porn is like written poetry: once limited by narrow transmisson channels, it embedded itself in other, narrative, genres and forms. But improved technology and changing mores briefly allowed for a flourishing popular industry before becoming so oversaturated that few people could make a living at it; now it’s basically taken as a given that everyone will create some at some point, mostly in their teenage student days.
