It’s weird that pinball is a recreational activity that is themed around other recreational activities. I’ve played pinball tables based on

soccer
basketball
skydiving
whitewater rafting
stock car racing
laser tag
Formula 1 racing
roller derby
poker
boxing
surfing
motocross
amusement parks
the circus

- and at least know of ones themed around -

baseball
hockey
bowling

Which is to say nothing of pinball tables themed after movies or TV shows that you sit down to watch

(and I mean how many video games are there based on all of these plus

shooting people)

Oh, so since I mentioned the last one I should mention this one - the second season pinball league finals were on Tuesday. I moved up to B division but this season there was only A/B so there were two B tournaments. I took third in one of them, but I think I’m going to try my luck in A next season. Both my chief rivals (who date each other) were in the other B tournament, they took first and second, so good for them.

Back from Vegas. Double elimination, out in two rounds, but at least I took both rounds to three games and lost one crazy close game each round. Combination of luck and their superior skills.

Out and back from LA in the same day. First time there, didn’t even walk near a casino. Place is smaller and chintzier than I expected.
