I’m fond of “abortion” to mean “spontaneous miscarriage” to mean “congenital deformity” to mean “huge fucking mess”, you don’t see that so much since we stopped being an animal husbandry society that personally witnessed the outcome of a dozen plus mammalian pregnancies each year
