man I dunno. but in the mid-latter 2000s she had a blog about TV screenwriting as craft and it was both object-level great and showcased her voice really well and in retrospect this is while she was working neo-BSG

And when she was working neo-BSG! honestly, the way she played with Baltar’s personal self and the self he portrayed and the voice in his head and the role he played as a religious figure and the role he played as a political figure to say like six-layered things at once…

Jane Espenson is my hero and one of the single biggest influences on my writing voice
