So two apartments ago, I found the perfect couch on the street. I dragged it up two flights of stairs and I seriously couldn’t figure out how to turn it on the tiny landing to get through the door. I took it back down a flight of stairs, turned it on its side, dragged it back up, wouldn’t work. Down again, turned again, back up, wouldn’t work.

Then I took a break to come inside and vomit from exertion, no joke.

Came back out, with the couch halfway up the set of stairs, eating a Clif Bar. Had a flash of inspiration, took it back down, turned it *just right*, brought it up, and it just barely fit through.

When it came time to move out I couldn’t figure out the trick again.
