Badger meowing at me for food starting an hour before his dinner time has become so ritualized and he’s so confident I’ll give it to him anyway that he barely bothers to meow anymore, just in a half-assed quotative way
After several were proffered, the cat bed Badger will accept is, of course, a backpack
It’s funny how on both a month-to-month and minute-to-minute basis Badger’s closeness of companionship inversely tracks the temperature outside
Badger just came in through the basement window and up the stairs, meowing all the time, to drop off a dirt-covered hot dog he found somewhere
Getting Badger to come in and out through the basement window is huge in keeping Karafuto comfortable in this cold, and I also like that if we’re both up here when he decides to go out he’ll just meow at me to open the front door again

I remember when I wanted Badger to get up on my bed and he was too neurotic to for years, now I just regularly wake up and reach over to my bedside table only to feel he’s been curled up next to the pillow, I look on there if I’m trying to find him if I haven’t seen him in a while, too

Now that it’s raining and colder and he’s not wandering around outside Badger seems a lot more… domestic. Even when he’s not just lying down and dozing, he’s not going from room to room or investigating things, just calmly loafed up in random spots

Well, it seems Badger’s figured out how to get in and out the basement window, so I can close the one in the study this winter.
