If you haven’t white washed anything recently I highly recommend it. Especially on masonry and brick you want to be white.

Yeah I saw a lot of “make your fireplace brick look farmhouse-y!” stuff, but even there it was mixed up with “limewashing” that was supposed to look weathered on day 1
