This is what I’ve been talking about when people don’t appreciate Japanese summers: setting aside all the beach swimsuit vacation episodes and the “visit your grandparents in the hot southern countryside” ones, notice how every anime has a heat wave episode aired in the summer where the (relatable) theme is just “it’s hot”?
