Ever since Covid got into my brain in 2020 (or maybe with one of the subsequent cases where it created other “long” symptoms), if my mind picks up on some song it will start to hear it in the patterns of the incidental environmental noise around me – with the accuracy of a perfect recollection I can’t consciously realize, I’ll often reenact a song this way and then be like “oh, I forgot it had this part”.
