Global Times insisting that NATO tanks will not help Ukraine but will irritate Russia, a nuclear power, whose “bottom lines are constantly being breached”, deepening the confrontation and leading it further into quagmire etc.
and they’re absolutely right that Ukraine would collapse without support, but the support provided isn’t enough for them to win, at least not unless Russia collapses first, at enormous cost to both.
If the issue is “we want to give them materiel to defeat tanks but not present a threat to push into enemy territory”, does anyone still have tank destroyers?
