So I’m really too old to think up a Christmas present list, and I’m basically ordering Amazon from the same stock of dynastic wealth anyway, so my family’s just getting each other nominal stuff and I’d spend some money on things I really couldn’t justify for the price.
Anyway I just brought in a $200 deluxe maple Scrabble board, a pound of caviar (for making ikura don), and some handmade Japanese ceramics and hardwood coasters in from the front step and just realized what a comically rich-people set of presents that makes.
