It’s so strange to me that “Blister in the Sun” by Violent Femmes was released in 1983. I feel like every other song I’ve heard from the first half of the ‘80s just sounds older and more dated. If I didn’t already know, you could play me “Blister in the Sun” and tell me it was released in like, 2004 and I’d nod and say “yeah, that makes sense”
