Today is the 100th anniversary of the march on Rome. It needs to be an important reminder of how fascists can seize power in the face of a weak liberal government. It marked the start of the fascist dream and paved the way for the totalitarianism of the past, present and future. Not so coincidentally giorgia meloni assumes power this week, establishing Italy’s first far-right goverment since the second world war. More then ever it is imperitive to resist fascism and combat it, for it is the enemy of humanity, and it will lead us into another unspeakable catastrophe.
