i wonder if it’s time for a cultural reappraisal of rob liefeld’s art. maybe we were all just too quick to judge a guy for daring to have a unique stylized take that focused on exaggeration and action. *actually looks at some of his art again* jesus CHRIST never mind

#this is me once every like six months. he really was that bad.

look the thing about liefeld is that you just have to appreciate him as a guy, or as, like, a narrative arc. everyone of a certain age remembers going to scuzzy comic book stores where they had some local guy’s bad pencil drawings of superheroes and sexy vampires on the wall, and liefeld is like if one of those guys became the most important artist in the comics industry for a while, like the Wayne’s World of comic artists. It’s just inherently funny and endearing and serves as a healthy reminder that cape comics were and are deeply ridiculous
