it has been a very long time since ive attempted drawing the undersiders n here they r. none of them would wear this in canon and i thrive off of that knowledge

This is a real drawback of casting the dark-skinned Kirby Howell-Baptiste in the Netflix adaptation: first, the pale skin/black tank/silver ankh contrast isn’t as firm

But second, that it’s not as clear she and Robert Smith-ass Dream and Patrick Nagel Desire are related (and dumpy Despair, while Destruction is actually suntanned painting in the wilderness)

It’s not dispositive, that’s the kind of thing “she’s good” can in fact outweigh (and I notice they’re lighting her to distinguish the skin & ankh from the tee), not to mention “the more she looks like Kate Bush the more obvious shes not Kate Bush”. But it is in fact something.
