I\u2019ve had the contact thing happen to me, all the optometrist would do is flip your upper eyelid up so it\u2019s partially inside out, then rinse the lens free with sterile solution or reach above your eye with some very skinny tweezers and snag it. I\u2019ve done it myself at home, although you do need a very steady hand. I wouldn\u2019t recommend waiting for it to work it\u2019s way out, that seems like an infection risk.
\n\n\nThe thing you have to realize its when you clean your contacts that’s not to stop them from damaging your eyes, that’s to keep your eyes from damaging them. The self-cleaning features of the eye predate humanity.

Like what I am saying is the notion I have an eye doctor is out of line, I got an exam at the eyeglasses place that has a guy doing that.
Like, an hour ago before the reading started someone was like “there’s something beneath your eye” and I rubbed it away and it was the husk of the contact.
