I haven’t seen “The Rocketeer” in ages, but I’ve got a vague memory that there’s a “drunk plane thief” stunt at the airshow there, too.
After takeoff that plane moves in a manner reminiscent of a drunk man walking, but it would be incredibly effortful to fly like that, even if you were overcorrecting one way then another it wouldn’t look like those swoops, you’d just stall out
