I think an important thing is that I was straight during adolescence and so I don’t have any foundational mental models or formative impressions from men, and I missed the chance to be hormonal enough to get over the hump and start throwing myself into situations and doing new sex things.

Like, guys from previous eras that were too shy/scared to come out until later in life, they might not have experience with other guys but at least they had been in on it inside their head enough to like think “he looks nice” to themselves and fantasize
