Common name: the northern flicker

Scientific name: Chionanthus speratus

I only really know them by their common names.

You\u2019re right, chionanthus is a common name for a genus of plants and not a common name for a genus of birds.

This is because I am a terrible amateur botanist and don\u2019t really know anything.
