Parts of Echo Park had back alleys, but not Bonnie Brae where I lived (we had, interestingly enough, history from the Third Great Revival instead, there were still tiny little churches from all these sects to come out of the Azusa Street Revival, Sister Aimee’s Foursquare Church right on the edge of the park)
