The author of The Locked Tomb series was previously a fairly prominent creator of Homestuck fan media, notably having co-authored Promstuck, a long running highschool AU spin-off comic that built a significant fandom of its own. Like, this isn\u2019t \u201conce wrote a Homestuck fanfic\u201d territory \u2013 this is being responsible for arguably the single most widely read piece of Homestuck fan media ever published.

(Allegations that the first book of The Locked Tomb itself originated as unpublished Homestuck fanfic are, to the best of my knowledge, unfounded, but there are certain aspects where you can see how one might arrive at that conclusion!)
