School (or youth broadly, or other) trans stuff hasn’t been an issue yet in Oregon but I could very easily see it being something Betsy Johnson uses in the 3-way gubernatorial campaign to highlight her mainstream Democratic opponent aligning with the national party and Portland and not the 1990 Oregon Democrats timber country voters grew up with

One thing though is Oregon actually has an absurdly strong track & field tradition and there might be some third party body the state’s in the habit of handing off the lead to, not sure about the specifics here
