after you’ve gone to the couple’s therapist but before you’ve gone to the neurologist

where you’re at couple’s therapy with your husband, and none of you know it but he’s missing part of his frontal lobe

like that couple’s therapist is not gonna help

As someone who has been reconstructing a personality around brain damage for the last two years, it’s a bitch of a trip but it is doable

Of course I think I’m in a fortunate situation where the damage was so scattershot that i.e. structures that were no longer intact to uphold the personality they once had were still intact enough to be reconfigured to uphold a personality
