Kind of hoping someone actually tells me in real life to “read the room” so I can respond in a way that’s really confident but seems less than a comeback than working on another vector entirely “I lead the room!”

Fear it might be like the way “check your privilege” fell out of use before I got to look startledly fearful, frantically pat at my crotch, and then reassuredly say “it’s still there”
