So my general take on economic showdown with Russia:

• America and the American regime will survive it
• Russia and the Russian regime might well survive it
• Most likely it seems to me that it will create enough strain elsewhere that important things will break, sparking second-order pressures and realignments such that the American-led post-Cold War order does not survive it
