Like, when the road signs say “Illinois” and “Land of Lincoln” they’re talking about the same place. And when people refer to “the Midwest” they’re very often talking about the same place. And when someone in Chicago does a “land acknowledgment” citing it as the lands of like, the Miami and Ojibwe, they’re talking about the same place
