Tumblr did the absolute most non-intrusive thing possible to start making literally any money to run this website you all so &ldquo;hate&rdquo;. Do you understand that the alternative is &ldquo;no tumblr&rdquo;? No one is forcing you to pay. No one is forcing you to give up adblock. Staff are real people, who care about this place.</p><p>Like it&rsquo;s not about the ads. I&rsquo;ll pay $5 to tumblr because I think they&rsquo;re neat and i would like them to continue to exist, and i can afford $5. The fact that I&rsquo;ll stop being redirected to the amazon page for that one weighted blanket when i try to hide the pinned ad is a bonus, but I&rsquo;d literally pay them $5/month ANYWAY. </p></blockquote>\n<p>Oh worm?
