all i gotta say is, if you liked that, and you wanna write it up as “so crazy” or “so cool” or (god forbid) “so feminist” or whatever? zack snyder’s sucker punch is sitting right there, waiting for your apologies, then.
if you don’t want to do that? then don’t do that. because do that and y’all better. you know that’s what you just watched a sequel to.
Sucker Punch (2011) was, imo, one of the only things worth preserving from the 2010s.
It and Gone Girl are like the first or second week of my 2010s through popular culture survey (the other one, obviously, is Red, which would be the music one that also touches on Lady Gaga, Amy Winestone, Lana Del Rey, Ke$ha and Beyoncé. In the third week we turn to why we’ve been so female so far.)
