Have realized that when I redo things I’m tearing open the walls of this front room to get at heating, wiring, het pump medium, a window to the kitchen, so that I may as well replace them with wood paneling.

At this point my main constraint is making sure it’s not too jarring a transition from the kitchen, for which I’m thinking an unironically-inspired-by-Aerith’s-house country cozy tint, but I’m not going too heavy brass Edwardian (or dark shag ‘70s) with it, I’ll have to use wood grain as the throughline
