You think if the Third Reich worked out “Hitler” woulda become a title like “Caesar”?

This of course leaves the Anglophone countries instinctively backforming hitl (v) – to rule Germany

Or was there intent that on succession you’d start doing a “Heil [some other guy]” salute greeting? Or was the Führer and all the pageantry a specifically transitional form with the idea the rest of the Thousand-Year Reich be conducted under some other dispensation?
