Simon Reynolds writes in the afterword to "Rip It Up" (his book about postpunk and new wave) that he noticed in the early 2000s a shift away from 90s weed to cocaine, and an according shift in anxious, jagged popular music. What do you think the drugs of the 2020s will be? I don't love coke, but I'd be happy to get out of the 2010s xanax dissociation era.
