Why the fuck would you boil water in the microwave?</p></blockquote><p>Found the Brit</p></blockquote><p>The realistic answer, <a class=\"tumblelog\" href=\"https://tmblr.co/MIuqcxrWsrfL1-bw04xS8Kw\" target=\"_blank\">@warringgods</a>, is electric standalone kettles aren&rsquo;t a typical appliance here (any more than those tall Japanese automatic ricemakers, though you sometimes see squatter ones with the dimensions of a pot and pot-style lids).
