I’ve read Native American Coyote stories where his penis was run over by a wagon because of poorly thought out schemes, which seems very much in keeping with the constant hilarious failure of Wile E. Coyote.

Okay fair, but the Roadrunner running through painted-on tunnels and showing up behind Wile setting up a trap and disrupting it by counting coup “meep meep” feels like the real trickster in that dynamic.
