when i was in high school i wrote a really bad poem about being depressed and getting diagnosed with bipolar \u00bd

and it was like \u201cwhat could possibly be more embarrassing than having a disease that i will never be free from (i will die from it)

but it is much better than the poem i published at the time which was about how i was a bad student and i didn\u2019t want to be because i hated school, and it was about how school was important and good and i hated it, and it was bad

the first draft i published was about how my brain is a big ball of confusion and i am a piece of crap and i am sick of my problems and i\u2019m tired and my parents are awful, and so on

people should read that one too

I\u2019ve heard of bipolar 1 and bipolar 2, but what\u2019s bipolar \u00bd?

It means you have bipolar 1 (also called manic depression) and bipolar 2 (called hypomania, also known as \u201cdepression disorder\u201d)

There\u2019s also bipolar 3 which is not very widely discussed in the literature, but there is apparently a connection between bipolar 3 and hypomania/mania in bipolar 1 or 2

It seems like bipolar 2 can be thought of as the \u201cdysfunctional bipolar 1\u201d, so that bipolar 3 can be thought of as the \u201cdysfunctional bipolar 2\u201d and bipolar 1 as the \u201cnormal bipolar 1\u201d?
