I don’t think anything has made me more pessimistic about the future of the climate than this emerging meme in lefty circles that sabotage of fossil fuel infrastructure and attacks on fossil fuel executives is a highly-effective tactic being hidden from us. We are beyond fucked if people start thinking we’re gonna get out of this by disrupting a few pipelines. Y’all could assassinate the CEO of Exxon five times a year for the next 50 years and it would have less of a total effect on climate change than even the most mild Democratic proposals on the environment lmao
