Actually, urbanists probably big mad about how this is mostly a low-rise city with urban freeways
In fact, this is almost certainly Los Angeles as seen looking north from like, Inglewood, and that tower is some sort of smog scrubber (or hell, just an intake fan for clean air above the inversion layer)
