And masculine law-and-order authoritarianism is cheering \u201cfuck around and find out!\u201d as a person gets their head caved in by a cop or is sentenced to life in prison.

Strictly speaking of course the latter is worse in every way, and if I had to choose to be victim to one or the other, I would of course choose the former.

But I really don\u2019t think we have to have either one. We can have neither. You just have to want it. And resist the intoxicating allure of punishment.
