cop-disliker69:

Feminine law-and-order authoritarianism is sneering “actions have consequences” as a person is hauled before HR, drummed out of their friend group, or fired from their job. And masculine law-and-order authoritarianism is cheering “fuck around and find out!” as a person gets their head caved in by a cop or is sentenced to life in prison.

Strictly speaking of course the latter is worse in every way, and if I had to choose to be victim to one or the other, I would of course choose the former.

But I really don’t think we have to have either one. We can have neither. You just have to want it. And resist the intoxicating allure of punishment.

Which is a reminder that the specter of girls giving entitled misogynist elders what-for is not compatible with but rather the opposite of the male trickster making the uptight matron faint and pop her monocle (by emotionally traumatizing her!)
