I’ve read recently about a guy who went to vocational gardening school and now works in a factory putting together fridges. And after work, he advocates for dark sky initiatives in his village because from childhood he’s been an active astronomer, taken seriously during online discussions, to the point he inherited a telescope from one of Poland’s major astronomers. Thanks to him, we have one of the rare dark sky refuges in Poland. And we need a lot more people like him.
