To clarify I don’t know that he ever used “set and setting” or similar terms. But he first normalized the notion that the psychedelic experience you have \u2013 a good trip, a bad trip, an introspective trip, a rolling-on-the-grass-communing-with-the-sheer-physical-detail-of-nature trip \u2013 was a function of your mentality and experiences and not any difference in action of the drug itself, which is the idea of “set and setting”
