Always loved that bit in Salem\u2019s Lot where the priest threatens the vampire with a cross to make him release a victim, and promises to let him go if he does, then breaks the promise and tries to burn him with holy power only for the cross to fail because oathbreaking is a disqualifying offense.</p></blockquote>\n<p>Yeah, I think that was kinda the World of Darkness canon too, you had to believe in holy symbols for them to work against vampires</p>", "thumbnail_url": "https://kontextmaschine.com/media/b4601b8103ec46a2afb1cde928d3a0b663419b31_46cc9eee5719.jpg", "thumbnail_width": 640, "thumbnail_height": 453}
