I want at least a somewhat more serious take on Transmetropolitan, 90s culture is supposed to be your bag.
Well, that kinda was the take. The plot points were ‘90s contemporary future themed enough \u2013 that was the decade where with the Fear and Loathing movie we rediscovered Hunter S. Thompson as a hero \u2013 but the themes themselves weren’t particularly '90s. What was The Smiler trying to do that Spider was trying to thwart? Did it have anything interesting to say about neoliberalism, or Clintonian realignment, or anything?
