i would say snoop's persona went gangsta (early/mid 90s, the chronic, doggystyle, the murder trial, all that) -> pimp (towards the 2000s, drop it like it's hot etc) -> weed dealer (except he still raps well about gang shit (supercrip and gang signs (ft mozzy) were both good) but his general-public persona has essentially nothing to do with his musical output these days)
