realizing while the personality/sexuality change might have made me more generally queer it probably took me further from lesbians (who even identifying solidly as a boy I had weird resonance with), eliminating our commonality of “well I’m stuck with girls”

Like I had some good “gay best friend” moments and I think that was a big part of it, they’d be like “first, as someone who romances women let me commiserate with you, bitches be crazy; but as someone romanced as a woman have you considered this?”
