Honestly my childhood was wheezy types reminiscing how baseball was the American national game while football solidified itself as the American national game

The last decade has been basketball solidifying itself as a national game (I hadn’t realized how recent was the barnstorming era that now only leaves us Globetrotters/Generals) and football falling equally back to a (tho still ahead of baseball, also remember NASCAR?)
