Oh also, the “I had a total breakdown of muscle coordination” narrative makes embarrassment-free sense of how I broke my nose and killed that nerve in my cheek:

I fucked up making a turn while walking so bad I literally faceplanted, like didn’t do my usual good recovery, didn’t even put my arms out, just fell over and absorbed the impact with my face.

Which is pretty funny. Now for the rest of my life the left side of my face is gonna be numb and look a little weird though, I hope it’s the kind of thing that “adds character”
